Grilled prosciutto tortillas

Grilled tortillas with prosciutto, shredded mozzarella, corn, spring onions and basil or oregano

Grilled tortillas are a delicious and crunchy dish, perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. The combination of tender prosciutto, creamy mozzarella and sweet corn with herbs creates a harmonious and refreshing taste. The tortillas are grilled until golden brown, which gives them a crispy texture and also melts the cheese, making all the flavours blend beautifully.


  • 4 large tortillas
  • 150 g prosciutto (thinly sliced)
  • 200 g grated mozzarella
  • 1 cup canned or frozen corn
  • 3 spring onions (thinly sliced)
  • Fresh basil or oregano (to taste, finely chopped or dried)


  1. Preparation of ingredients:
    • If using frozen corn, thaw and drain
    • Cut the spring onions into thin rings
    • Chop fresh basil or oregano
    • Grate the mozzarella
  2. Assembling the tortillas:
    • Place one tortilla on a clean work surface
    • Spread a layer of prosciutto evenly over the entire surface of the tortilla
    • Sprinkle with grated mozzarella
    • Add a layer of corn
    • Spread the chopped spring onions over the whole surface
    • Finally, sprinkle with chopped basil or oregano to taste
    • Cover with a second tortilla and press
  3. Grilling:
    • Heat the grill to medium-high heat. If you don’t have a grill, you can use a grill pan
    • Place the prepared tortilla on the grill and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted
    • Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas
  4. Serving:
    • Carefully transfer the grilled tortillas to a cutting board
    • Cut them into smaller pieces as preferred
    • Serve hot
